The "North of the Wall" Annual Art Prize 200918th July 2009
This art competition is open to any artist working in any medium on any subject! Out the entries thirty finalists are chosen and are exhibited in Tynemouth for a month. Prizes are awarded for the best picture, three runners-up and the best picture by a disabled artist. Martin has been chosen as a finalist with his entry "Rhino Dust-Up".

BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 200924th April 2009 Studiobuffery is delighted to announce that Martin's pencil drawing "White Faced Owl" has been named as a finalist in the "world birds" category of the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2009 competition.
Book Launch!23rd March 2009 Studiobuffery is delighted to announce Bill Piefer's first novel "Peace Comes In Pieces" has been published and is now available from Amazon.com. The book contains eleven pencil sketches depicting the many animals in the book, and one of Bill himself on the back cover. We wish Bill all the success with his book.

6th December 2008 Studiobuffery is delighted to announce that a book containing some of Martin's sketches has been launched. Entitled "Bishops Tachbrook - The Story of a Warwickshire Village" the book is a detailed local history with Martin providing several drawings of notable buildings.

Bel Art Excellence Award Out of Hours Exhibition (Mall Galleries - London)Tues 29-May-2007 to Sat 9-June-2007The first time Martin has helped to organise an art exhibition - "Out of Hours" is a collection of artwork created by car design professionals in their spare time. Deliberately wide ranging in style and content, this eclectic show is an insight into the private world of the car designer. A major contributor to the show Martin will be showing twelve works in either pencil or watercolour principally of wildlife subjects.

6th NovemberStudiobuffery is very pleased to announce that it has been given the Bel Art Excellence Award, following the assessment of the website the award was made with the following notation, "a top level contribution to arts and to the web community.
