I am pleased to announce that once again I will be part of this brilliant exhibition of wildlife art, please checkout the link below for the catalogue, which looks to be the best year yet. Half the sale price of all items go towards wildlife conservation, making a real contribution to helping some of the world’s most endangered animals.
Great evening in Bewdley yesterday with all the guys from the west midlands safari artist and photographer of the year. Two category winners and most special of all I was named the overall winner. Eleanor had a great time collecting all the prizes with me! Great artwork, especially from the under 18s, and some terrific photographs. The competition will run again next year and is set to get even bigger!
Its a busy time of year for exhibitions, and I am very pleased to be involved once again in the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art. Two of my watercolours, both painted on reclaimed veneer are included.
The exhibition runs from the 15th of July to 31st of July in Burton details can be found here:- http://www.newa-uk.com/pages/home.php
I am very delighted to say that once again I am participating in the Guild of Aviation Artists annual exhibition of paintings in the Mall Galleries in London.
The exhibition runs from July 18th to 24th with free entry. The on-line gallery for this year can be found here:- http://www.gava.org.uk/2016-gallery/
I have five pictures on show including this one of an RAF Tornado GR4
I’ve been terrible at updating this website as I have concentrated so much more on my Facebook pages recently, but here is a quick update:-
With the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Exhibition 2016. Very pleased to say that both “Adidas Pride” and “Tiger Heat” have found new homes, raising some much needed cash for wildlife conservation.
Just found out that my white tiger drawing is up for the People’s Choice Award in the 2016 Derwent Art Prize.
Another great exhibition for this competition – with half the proceeds from sales going to help wildlife conservation projects around the world. Both of my pictures in the final have sold as has my charity postcard – which is brilliant!
Stroll On – galapagos Tortoise also picked up a Highly Commended from the judges – so not bad at all!
I found out a few days ago that two of my pictures have been selected for this year’s David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Exhibition! And another one has been selected for the on-line section. So got to set about sorting the framing! More details later.
Here is my latest effort, “Tiger Prowl”. Its quite a large pencil drawing, done fairly quickly just to get back to animals after doing a whole string of aircraft and racing cars.

I have added six images to the aviation gallery, which made up my entry to this year’s Guild of Aviation Artists Annual Painting of the Year show. Lots of fun to do, and a sign of things to come as I have being trying to loosen up lately!
Well after a long day of mixed fortune (for familly reasons) we made it down to the Mall Galleries in London for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Awards and to my absolute amazement “Vulture Club” was picked by David Shepherd as his personal choice from all of the brilliant artwork on display. So a great result and feeling very proud – here I am in the very hot gallery after the presentation!
